Description Brass hook with decorative lion head design in the area to connect the hook to a wall or other surface. The hook itself is a snake with a slightly curved head. The lion is holding a semicircular item in its mouth from which the hook is attached. There is one small hole in the lions mane and one below its face -- these holes appear to be for inserting nails or screws to attach the hook to some surface. There are also holes for the lions eyes which appear to be purely decoration. Etched details include the curly hair of the lion, whiskers, ears, teeth, nose, and dot in the middle of the lion's forehead. There is also cross hatching detail to represent the skin on the underside of the snake.
