This cup is surrounded by two semicircular pieces divided along the vertical plane and connected by metal nails. The overall appearance of the object is of two pan shaped bowls with flat tops and straight sloping sides connected, like a clamshell. Where the edges connect, the object comes to a point which continues around the exterior of the object.
