Description Snowshoes made of wood outer frames and gut strapping. The shoes are curved upward in the front and have holes in the center for foot. There are five drilled holes on either side of the foot holes, possibly for attaching lacings to hold feet in place. Red pigment has been added as a decorative detail around the inner perimeter of the shoe. This shoe is part of a pair with object 1911.176b.
