Date 1885 ca.-1911 ca.
Description Ice dipper used to remove chips of ice from a fishing hole. The handle is a long, slender piece of unfinished wood with a hole drilled through one side. Through the hole is laced leather or sinew straps that secure a loop of circular bone. The bone has been nailed to itself in the overlapping areas so that it is almost perfectly round. A net would be attached to the leather lacing threaded around the bone, but the net is missing on this object. See object 1911.069 for a similar object.
